Ms. Rita Shrestha

Rita has more than 20 years of professional experience, working in the field of promoting Good Governance, Gender and Inclusion in Nepal. Rita has worked with international NGOs for seven years and managed its Governance program. She has developed and implemented different long term and short term program during her work with international and nation organizations.

Mr. Sharad C Neupane

Executive Director
Sharad has more than 18 years of professional experience in Nepal working with government, University and non-governmental organizations. He has long experience of facilitation of training, research and impact study of the projects. He earned his MA in applied conflict transformation studies from Cambodia, Masters of Statistics from TU Kathmandu and Diploma in ‘Social development planning and management’ from Kathmandu.  

Dr. DB Subedi

DB has PhD in Peace Studies from the University of New England, Australia. His PhD research investigates post-conflict recovery and peacebuilding in Nepal, with particular reference to economic and social reintegration of Maoist ex-combatants. He also holds Master Degrees in Social Anthropology and Sociology from Central European University, Hungary and Tribhuvan University, Nepal respectively. DB is an experienced peacebuilding practitioner and researcher with more than 15 years of experience in South and South East Asia, particularly in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.  In the past he has worked with UNDP Vietnam, International Alert and SOS Children's Villages Nepal.

Mr Rabindra Bhattarai

Rabindra has professional experience of more than 18 years as human rights defender and legal practitioner in Nepal. He has taken position at executive level for the designing developing and implementing projects that were intended to promote accountability, access to justice and rights of the child. Rabindra has understanding on gender, violence and conflict mitigation, juvenile justice and penal reform at considerable level. He has undertaken several research assignments and has conducted research in his individual capacity as well as in a team. He has supervised more than 30 dissertations of the Master's Degree under faculties of law at Tribhuvan University and Purbanchal University.
He has sufficient knowledge of evaluation work as he has considerably engaged in evaluating systems of the governance, delivery of the service and project implementation. He has Master Degree in Law and Humanities as well. His experience of teaching law for more than ten years has added values to the works related to research with academic considerations. He has good language skill of drafting, narrating and editing.

Mr Tulasi Nepal

Tulasi R. Nepal is a multi-dimensional professional in the areas of Peace, Development and Emergencies. He has gathered experiences working in various conflict zones (Odisha and Manipur – India; Cambodia; Sri Lanka; Nepal; Indonesia, Afghanistan and Iraq, Kurdistan Region) designing, executing and monitoring development, humanitarian and peacebuilding programs for more than a decade. He holds MAs in Rural Development; Applied Conflict Transformation Studies and Business Administration.
He is a CDA trained Reflecting Peace Practice (RPP) Trainer and has facilitated many RPP trainings within Asia region. He has conducted many peacebuilding and development program evaluations in Nepal and India and also has carried out scoping missions to initiate development programs. He has also contributed with reflective articles on contemporary social issues in many academic and other publications.
His experiences ranging from the very ground level through to the national leveraged him to be influential with informed advocacy on the issues and challenges at different levels.

Ms Rita Khatiwada

Rita has several years of professional experience in the field of conflict prevention, peacebuilding, Gender and Social Inclusion(GESI) and Monitoring and Evaluation. She has experience of working with various International Organizations including United Nations Development Program(UNDP) as a GESI expert .  Recently, she is working as Gender Exert in one of the USAID’s projects.  As a board of director of Asian Academy Rita designs and delivers training on Gender and peacebuildings and leads research in this areas. Rita earned her MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from Japan and Masters of Arts in English from Pokhara University.


Mr. Mukti Suvedi

Mukti has more than twelve years of professional experience in Nepal working with non-governmental organizations.  He is the founder president of National Peace Initiative Network with more than 397 GOs and NGOs. Mukti earned his MA in applied conflict transformation studies from Cambodia and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Transformation World Learning in Vermont, USA. Mukti is persuading his Ph.D degree in Political Science and International Relation. He has received Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for his Ph.D degree.

Ms Hemlata Rai

Hemlata completed her Master’s degree in Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation from a reputed American university of Eastern Mennonite University as a Fulbright Scholar. She has more than 12 years of experience in the development sector with leading development agencies like the United Nation, GIZ and European Union. She previously worked as a journalist for seven years with Nepal’s leading newspapers. She specializes in conflict analysis, political analysis, situation analysis, designing and managing projects, mainstreaming conflict sensitivity, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion issues, Human Rights-Based Approach and results-based programming etc. She has collaborated and coordinated with UN agencies, development partners, civil society, private sector and the government. She recently completed Rotary Peace Fellowship in Thailand.

Mr. Kuber Niraula

Kuber has been working in the field of financial management, livelihood and cooperative sector for more than twenty years. He has worked with Nepal Federation of Saving and Credit Coop Union as Chief Executive Officer, Family Planning Association of Nepal as Sr. Officer, Ilam cooperation Council (ICC), and short term support for many cooperatives and financial institutions.   He earned his Master’s in business administration.

Ms. Seema Luitel

Seema has been working in development field for over last eight years. Prior to entering into development sector, she has also worked with the Government of Nepal for more than five years in various capacities, mainly liaising with donor communities, such as ILO and GIZ. Seema’s strength has been in leading and managing community development programmes, comprising elements, such as, women empowerment, peace and conflict management.  She is well embedded with tools and techniques, i.e., Peace Conflict Impact Management, Participatory Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and possesses good understanding on the concept on Theory of Change for managing the impact and effective M&E.

Mr Sanjaya Gupta
