Mr. Asaduzzaman Sarder

Sarder M. Asaduzzaman is the Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Programme Management and Partnership Unit of UNDP Bangladesh. He leads the UNDP country office programme quality assurance and partnership management team contributing to programme cycle management, quality implementation, monitoring & evaluation, donor reporting, exploring new partnership opportunities and managing various partners and stakeholders. He has technical expertise on project designing, system thinking, capacity building, larger coordination, strategic planning, peoples management alongwith technical knowledge and expertise on human rights, access to justice, governance, restorative justice, transformative mediation, peacebuilding, climate change, SDG Localization, sustainable development effectiveness, Islamic financing, private sector financing etc.
Before joining as the ARR of the UNDP Bangladesh, Sarder Asad has been involved with the UNDP’s Village Courts Project in Bangladesh since 2009 and contributed substantially for its countrywide scaling up. Prior to UNDP, he substantially contributed to the development sector working with Danida, Save the Children Denmark, Bangladesh Freedom Foundation, Environment and Social Development Organization. Sarder Asad holds two Masters – in Geography and Applied Conflict Transformation Studies from home and abroad. He is a Nuffic fellow and completed several Post Graduations in Development Planning; Conflict Transformation Across Cultures (CONTACT); Human Rights and Legal Aid. He has quite a few numbers of articles published in various national and international journals, dailies and magazines and visited several countries in Asia, Europe, Australia, America, Canada etc. He is a life member of Dhaka University Alumni Association.
