CALL FOR A LEAD RESEARCHER
Asian Academy for Peace, Research and Development (Asian Peace Academy) is a Kathmandu-based not-for-profit organization, specializing in peacebuilding and conflict transformation. Established in October 2010 with the vision ‘All human beings live harmoniously and peaceful life with dignity thereby enjoying potential to grow and develop in a sustainable manner’, Asian Peace Academy contributing to the poor and a marginalized community for community-level peacebuilding, establishing social cohesion and social harmony among divided communities.
Since the last ten years, the Asian Peace Academy has been working with its strategic partners and civil society actors in the areas of social cohesion, community-level peacebuilding at local level linking local-level issues at national and international level through various forums. Asian Peace Academy initiated a project entitled ‘Proactive youth in fostering social cohesion in divided communities’ in rural communities in the Ilam, Parsa and Udayapur districts.
Inside the project, Asian Academy is going to conduct research on ‘Achieving SDG 16 Goals by 2030: Initiatives of Nepal to attaining’. The research project will be starting soon within the last week of June. So, we are requesting to submit your cv/resume and a writing sample of 2/3 pages for the researcher to lead the research.

Key Qualification for the researcher
- At least Master Graduation from University in Social Science, Anthropology, Humanities, Sociology, or Conflict and Peace studies
- 10 Years of Experience in Social Science Research
- Excellence writing skills, content clarification, and data analysis
- Can work in time framework and effective research skills
- Excellence Knowledge in SDG 16
